On behalf of our entire staff, let me welcome you to Stonebriar Veterinary Centre. I am a native of North Texas and I am proud to call Frisco my home. I was lucky to have grown up surrounded by a variety of farm and companion animals. It gave me joy and pride to help care for them and laid the foundation for the rest of my life’s work. Having practiced for several years in a variety of clinics doing relief work, I gained a unique perspective to assist me in building my dream – a practice focused on exceptional medical care, patient comfort and client service. My professional interests include dentistry, client education, behavioral counseling, and general surgery.

I am a native of San Juan, Puerto Rico and decided to leave the sunshine and experience college life in the Midwest. After graduation, I had the opportunity to spend time in San Diego at the Wild Animal Park and Avian and Exotic Animal Hospital of San Diego. This is where I met my husband Michael. We relocated to Scottsdale, Arizona in 1995 where I spent 8 years working alongside a doctor who specialized in dermatology. This was an extremely valuable experience for me. My husband’s job transferred us to Dallas in 2003 and I have been fortunate to work at Stonebriar Veterinary Centre since 2005. It is amazing to be able to work in a place where patient care is the number one priority.

Texas is very special to us since this is where our sons Dante and Vasco were born. When I’m not busy with them, I love to do yoga and read. I also sit on the board of Mosaic Family Services.

We share our home with our three beloved Yorkies, “Franco”,” Eva” and “Lego”. My special areas of professional interest include internal medicine, dermatology, soft tissue surgery and small mammal medicine. My sincere commitment is to offer you the most honest and highest quality medicine and surgery available. Our goal is to keep your furry companion healthy and happy for many, many years to come. I look forward to seeing you soon!

I grew up in the DFW area in a small town called Double Oak. I completed my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at St. Edward’s University in Austin, TX, where I also played collegiate volleyball. I earned my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and I spent my final year at the Royal Veterinary College in London, England.

Following graduation, I moved to Cincinnati, OH where I completed a specialty internship in veterinary internal medicine at MedVet Dayton, plus additional training in internal medicine at MedVet Cincinnati. I gained valuable experience in a large emergency and specialty medicine practice as an emergency doctor and hospitalist. All the while, I was eager to return home to friends and family in the DFW area. I am so pleased to be able to call Texas my home again and join the team at Stonebriar Veterinary Centre.

I have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, “Louie” and a domestic short haired cat, “Eddie”. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family, reading, traveling, being outdoors, and playing volleyball. I have a special interest in client education and internal medicine, specifically gastrointestinal (GI) diseases and endocrinology. I look forward to meeting you and all your four-legged family members.
